The Chief from the ground
Here is the Chief in Squamish where I grew up. It is the second largest granite monolith in the world... or something like that. Below are some pictures from my climb of it yesterday. These ones here however are not mine. We climbed to the first peak (the one furthest to the right) which is a bit lower but provides the best view of Howe Sound.

Top of the Chief
As a kid I had many close friends. Carly was the most important. She was visiting from Australia and had been here for 5 weeks. So on the last day before she went home we hiked the Chief in the town where we went to school together. It was a sunny day but the trees were wet so we were rained on. We were greeted at the top by a large rock dome covered in snow... and that glorious view... stupid dirty lense...
