Pedro... The fly

Pedro is a regular run of the mill poop fly. You see him and you would expect him to be hanging around on poop or something dead and rotting... but there he was on my deck today rummaging around the flowers and jamming his proboscis in their centres. I was amazed as I realized although he was born out of poop and goes back to poop to breed... He isn't a poop fly but really a pollinator... and he is brilliant metallic green and yellow. Sorry for my ignorance Pedro... I'll stop calling you a poop fly.
