Last week I wandered around White Rock beach while our car was being serviced. It's a funny place. Every fourth house has the same decorative grass or the same painted white rock or a little rusty anchor in the yard. It reminded me of the east coast of New South Whales, Australia with it's scale and lack of self-conciousness. It's more about enjoying life and less about keeping up with the neighbours. Unless the neighbour has a better carved wooden seagull or a bigger, older rowboat used as a planter.
These were taken this weekend in Tofino. Using several different photos I "stitched" them together to form larger image. The largest one is 45,000 pixels wide.
I recently photographed the new line of work from Lisbeth Jewelry. They are a local company that sells all across north America. I got to use my new lights and I'm happy with the results.
My favourite place... Garibaldi Park. I hiked from the parking lot to the top of Panorama Ridge and back down with a stop at Garibaldi Lake in one day. It was a great day.
I got to ride in a logging truck in a Squamish logger sports parade twenty years ago. Here are some images of the parade, the logger sports show, the chair carving competition and the bed races.
