Yaletown... Up Close

Notice the bottom left hand corner of this image...

It's all rusted medal, brick, fountains and flowers.

It's coming...

When I started posting on this blog I had a 6 mega pixel digital SLR camera that I had bought to make claymation films. I loved it (until I wore out the shutter). Now I've got an agent and a 21 mega pixel, full frame, professional 5D Mark II on order. It will mean I can take better pictures (in lighting conditions I could not before) and have a greater range of applications to which the images can be applied (huge blow ups). I'll be waiting patiently... until january.

Introducing Claytorial.com

I made this first Claytorial for Tagga.com. It went over so well a sister company Invoke Media and I have teamed up to offer Claytorials to anyone who wants to explain their business or process in a simple way that everyone can understand.

Cold Medicine + My Favourite Macro Lens + Emily's Favourite Mug = This

Today I'm on cold medication and not feeling myself. I should make plans for www.claytorial.com but have to wait. I should edit "Tango" but can't think. I should keyword photos for Farmboy but can't concentrate long enough to do that either.

I must be old because playing video games by myself isn't fun anymore (my time as a video game tester helped). I'm stuck taking pictures to avoid boredom...

I made myself some tea in Emily's favourite mug (which she has had for a while). Suddenly it became fascinating and I took these images. I'm still amazed by the beauty and complexity of everyday things all around me. A mug. A coin. a common plant. One only needs to stop and look closely.
