The Sanctuary... The Day Grandpa Died

My grandpa Happy died this morning. I visited grandma and took these pictures in the back yard bird sanctuary he loved so much. The ducks and geese are nesting and laying eggs. A blog posting not a fitting tribute to such a man... and it isn't one. Just a look at the beauty of a special place on the day it loses it's caretaker and defender... who ensured it's safety for generations. And how that the place is somehow changed forever by his absence.
