Well, It is almost open now. The first pedals are turning brown. They are in the back, hidden. It is quite large. Maybe 20 cm/ 8 inches wide. THis is the same dahlia of course mentioned below that has taken a month now to not quite open.

Another great vertical triptych. The outer two framing a really stunning centrepiece. That central flowerhead...that's a world.
I'll have to look up triptych... but thanks a lot.
