Ice & Rock & Green & Sky

As the sun sank between Banff and Canmore Alberta from the car... on the way to Calgary. I couldn't seem to capture the vastness of the place nor the immense size of the mountains (bad light) but the sky there... you can see the huge sky there.

Avalanche Tunnels

These are so people are not killed by the avalanches and the roads can stay open. They also shoot the mountains with canons to create smaller more controlled avalanches. I want that job... for a day.

Banff

We stopped here for dinner on the way to Calgary. We were looking for a pet shop for diapers as our little dog became a woman... in the car... on Emily. Which was quite funny... until it happened to me.

Here is the big old ski lodge hotel there. This picture does not do the building justice... it's unreal.

Booger and Goober

I went to see my nephews in Calgary this weekend and met the new one... Vaughn. He is a gentle quite little soul who looks at his surroundings with a thoughful gaze. That or he is pooping.... Clark, his older brother, jumps into new experiences with great enthusiasm and joy. I can barely understand a word he says... They are both... amazing.
