Went to Science World! Saw dead people! Body Worlds 3!

The boat we took home...

What we saw. An anatomy exhibit of people who after they died have been preserved through a proccess of plastination (the water in their bodies is replaced with plastic. It was fascinating, sureal, intense and horrifying... Not in an "Ewwww! that's yucky sort of way" more of a " Wow there is dead guy holding his insides above his head while doing the splits and those are his real eyes and penis and he has no skin and I feel like I shouldn't be alowed to see this and I wonder how he died and who he was and....." you get the idea...

You can see a video of the exhibit here:

Em's Eyes

When you really loved someone and spend time studying them so much so that when you close your eyes and think of them you see images of the finer details of them... a smile... a scrunched nose.... a line... a curve. That is what these remind me of. I cropped them and upped the exposure so you can only really see what I see. A few of the small physical details that make her amazing and beautiful and unique. This is how I remeber people. Small complex and beautiful details which add up to the whole. Which applies to the rest of the pictures up on this blog.

It's my birthday today. I'm 26. Looking forward to the comming year and all the beautiful details I'll see... some of which I'll see through a camera lense and show you.
