October Flowers

With winter creeping slowly in and the smell of fallen leaves all around the plants on the deck still strive to produce flowers. Each misshapen and dulled from the cold. No bees come to visit them. They exist for an unused purpose. To me they are reminders of a happy, adventurous summer now gone by. There is something beautiful about it. I have not got the words to explain it further.

The light is enchanting here. There really is beautiful light in October in Vancouver and it's captured here in these four images.

I particularly like the second from the top.
